Bee's Knees

I found a great explanation of the term "Bee's Knees". It's not a long read and there is a comic strip at the end, so don't be afraid. I also want to explain that not all bees collect pollen in pollen baskets on their legs...so don't fall into that trap.

Can you tell that those two knee caps look different. One is more pointy at the lower end. That is how you tell those two species apart. Don't look at the color difference of the hairs, that has to do with the lighting differences when I took the pictures. I didn't take the time to manipulate the picture to adjust the colors.

Second Pair of Running Shoes

I forgot about this picture and these shoes. Maybe you had wished I hadn't found this picture. Maybe you don't like my shoe posts. Too bad.

These are the second pair of real running shoes I ever owned, and the first pair of professionally fitted running shoes.

I ran my first Half Marathon in these little beauties. It was the Moab Half Marathon in March 2003. I had never run that far before in my life. The weekend before had been a 10 miler, also a milestone. I finished the race, but my feet hurt so badly. I never put these shoes on again. I probably only put 100 miles on these puppies...at the most, but probably more like 60 miles. What you see in this picture are very worn shoes from someone else's miles. I gave them to Ellen and she wore them to the quick.

Suspense

The suspense is killing me!!!! I get to make new NYR's for the 2010 edition in only a few days. I have no idea what goals I want to make this year.

So suspenseful.

Plus, I have totally forgotten about last years goals...so reviewing and reporting on those is going to be almost as surprising since I have no idea how well I did this year.

Aren't NYR's great?

Merry Christmas 2009

I know, it's been a while. But I still love all of you even if I've taught you not to check my blog by NEVER posting.

This is my sister's tree. She is carrying on the family tradition. This tree makes me proud.
