Mary Poppins

Angle of Repose

If Chins Could Kill

The Case Against the Fed

Dragon Slippers

Breaking Dawn

The 5000 Year Leep

1984

Up From Slavery

The Beetle

The Origin of Species

Uncle Toms Cabin

Lonesome Dove

Oooh! Several of those are on my list too. I read City of Ember recently - my nephew suggested it. Loved it. Already read Omnivore's Dilemna, but have a leaky sieve for a brain and so will read it again.

I wish you were closer to book club with. I don't get online very often. Rats.

Lesli - I might have bit off more than I can chew for the summer. But they are all books I've had on my list for too long.

Liz - I wish you lived closer too!

That is a long list of books! And a lot of good ones--I just put Omnivores Delimna on my library list--but the wait list is long, so we'll see if I even get it before summer is over.

Wow. I sure hope you read really fast and have nothing else to do.

Don't forget to eat and sleep occasionally.

So, I guess the questions are: When does "Summer" end? and Do I have to read all the books on the list? and What is the prize at the end?

Well in my little summer reading program summer ends in October when I run the St. George marathon. No, all the books don't have to be read. If I do read them all by October then I get ONE MILLION dollars, or a NEW truck, or a camping trip, or something out of the ordinary.

We like reading programs for the summer. Although Iv. is very disappointed in the prizes at the N. Logan library. It took him two days to win the first prize of 10 hours of reading. He got a plastic spider thingy. He will probably let you have it if you finish all your books.
